In conjunction with S&W’s popular Leadership Matters webinar series, we are spotlighting a CEO each month that is powering the mission of their organization in a unique way. For December, we’re highlighting the extraordinary work of Gabrielle Webster, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW). The club has an impressive impact on the lives of the children in the region:
- 98% of Club kids graduate high school on time
- 95% of seniors consistently continue on to college every year
- 65% state that Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington saved their life
Over the past 5 years, BGCGW has significantly benefited from Gabrielle’s incredible leadership. Within her short tenure, she has reestablished a high level of excellence and quality in the services and programs offered to youth in the Metropolitan Area. Since joining BGCGW in 2017, she has racked up some impressive statistics:
- Received a $6.8M gift from MacKenzie Scott in 2022
- Named one of ten Washingtonians of the Year for 2022
- Re-engaged Metropolitan Board and recruited new level of volunteer leadership
- Led significant expansion into Prince George’s County
- Launched first comprehensive campaign since 1886 in support of its 5-year strategic plan
- Geometrically expanded funds raised from all sources
- Organization produced first National Youth of the Year in 75 years under her leadership
Please join us in thanking Gabrielle Webster for the work she has done through BGCGW. Also, consider donating to this cause to help boys and girls of all backgrounds build confidence, develop character, and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.
