Pennsylvania Humanities Council (PHC) has awarded grants totaling $780,500 to 140 cultural nonprofits across the state impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. PHC quickly convened a panel of cultural professionals to review hundreds of applications from museums, libraries, historical societies, and other vital cultural organizations. Earlier this summer, PHC awarded Pop Up Grants for Cultural Producers from a separate funding stream to support 47 arts and culture organizations in creating distance-based engagement programs for the public.
