Schultz & Williams was proud, once again, to be part of the ADVIS Heads of School Retreat on February 1st and Annual Development Retreat on February 16th as event underwriter. ADVIS represents 130 of the Greater Philadelphia region’s most highly acclaimed private schools in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. These retreats are must-attend events for independent school leaders and fundraising professionals, and S&W is honored to support them each year.
This year, S&W Vice President Kelly Grattan and S&W Senior Consultant Greg Murphy presented Capital Campaigns – It’s Not If, It’s When at both retreats. This workshop addressed what consulting firms like S&W do to: assess readiness; address the issues of when (and how, and with whom, and for what, and for how much); and individually position each school’s campaign for success. We shed some much-needed light on the four interconnected elements of campaign preparedness that lead to achievable goals and the development of sustainable practices that support fundraising efforts long after a campaign wraps up.
Kelly also partnered with S&W Senior Consultant Greg Wilson to present Fearless Gift Planning for Independent Schools at the Development Retreat. This workshop covered the basics of planned giving plus some of the latest, most innovative approaches, tools, and resources… not to mention why you don’t need to be fluent in CLTs and CGAs – or have a dedicated planned giving expert on your team – to make this happen for your school.
