According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, more than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the U.S. will experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner. That’s why organizations such as The Domestic Abuse Project (DAP) exist in our communities, “to empower survivors of abuse and prevent domestic violence.” Every year, this incredible group assists thousands of survivors of abuse and their children through support systems such as the 24/7 hotline, emergency safe shelter, counseling, and legal advocacy. Today, they are the only provider of services exclusive to victims of domestic violence in Delaware County. Schultz & Williams has the privilege to partner with DAP to develop their first three-year strategic plan in support of their long-standing efforts to provide a safe haven and multifaceted support services to survivors who are victims of domestic abuse. We are looking forward to embarking on this journey with DAP to continue growing their impact in the community and tackling an important social issue.
