Overview

Nathan Schultz is a seasoned nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience in the sector and over 15 years in fundraising, campaign strategy, and organizational development. As a Senior Consultant at Schultz & Williams, Nathan works with cultural institutions, schools, conservation groups, and human service organizations on a range of strategic fundraising priorities — from campaign readiness and major gift programs to interim development leadership.

Nathan has played important development roles at Philadelphia cultural institutions including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Opera Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Theatre Company. At the Museum, he contributed to the It Starts Here campaign as a senior member of the development leadership team, helping to maintain and grow key donor relationships and successfully manage annual, special project, and endowment fundraising efforts during a challenging pandemic period. He oversaw a multi-million-dollar revenue budget and played a central role in meeting and exceeding goals for annual giving, events, and major gifts. At the Philadelphia Theatre Company, Nathan revitalized fundraising operations following the pandemic, leading efforts to reengage donors and strengthen staff and board involvement while laying the groundwork for a comprehensive campaign.

Across his career, Nathan has helped nonprofits navigate growth, change, and challenge — strengthening internal teams, mobilizing boards and volunteers around shared goals, and guiding campaigns from feasibility to execution. He brings a collaborative, systems-minded approach to every engagement and is known for building infrastructure that supports sustainable success.

Nathan is also a certified coach (ACC) trained in accordance with the standards of the International Coaching Federation. Through coaching, he supports a diverse range of nonprofit professionals—from emerging leaders to executive staff—helping them strengthen leadership, manage complexity, and drive mission-aligned progress.
