Overview
Emily has been a Senior Consultant with Schultz & Williams since 2023 and is a multi-faceted, engaging nonprofit professional whose experience has encompassed many different aspects within the sector. She has served in a range of fundraising, leadership, administrative, and strategic development capacities and understands the unique challenges and opportunities within nonprofit organizations. In her work with S&W clients, she thrives on helping organizations engage donors’ passions and interests, develop robust systems, create strategies for growth, translate programming impact into fundraising opportunity, and implement successful processes and procedures. Emily has worked across varied social service sectors and brings international experience, particularly in Latin America. Her breadth of perspective—from frontline fundraising to executive leadership—allows her to meet organizations wherever they are and help them move forward.
Background
Prior to joining Schultz & Williams, Emily served as Chief Advancement Officer for Friends Association for Care and Protection of Children in Chester County, Pennsylvania, where she led the organization’s fund development and grant writing as it celebrated 200 years as a nonprofit organization. She previously developed a major gifts platform and strategy for the Chester County Food Bank and led The Barn at Spring Brook Farm as Executive Director. She also served as Executive Director of Amigos de Jesús, an international nonprofit organization working in Honduras, and is proficient in Spanish. Over her career, Emily’s extensive grant writing has secured millions of dollars in revenue from a variety of sources, including government, private foundations, and corporations. She holds certificates in Principles of Fundraising and Developing Major Gifts, along with additional coursework within the sector.
