S&W Commitment to I.D.E.A.
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access
Since its founding in 1987, Schultz & Williams has been committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA) to promote social and racial justice and to eliminate inequity and racism in our community.
We embrace the different backgrounds and perspectives of our team, including gender identity, sex, age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and physical ability. Internally, S&W is actively renewing its commitment to IDEA through a firm-wide strategic planning process.
To uphold our commitment to IDEA, we are:
- Reevaluating our hiring practices to ensure that our firm represents the clients and constituencies we serve;
- Empowering our staff with the resources needed to support our clients and one another;
- Engaging in difficult, but necessary conversations to better understand one another and our unique backgrounds; and
- Intentionally building a workplace where everyone is valued and respected.
We acknowledge that as a for-profit company it is a privilege to consult with nonprofits that make decisions which directly impact historically underrepresented communities affected by discrimination. We believe that by advancing the missions of the nonprofits we serve, we can help uplift those experiencing racial, social, and economic injustice.
S&W strives to serve as both a learner and leader within the nonprofit sector through our dedication to IDEA and our commitment to combat systemic injustice.
S&W uses the AFP Global definition of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access.
