Locally, their mission is to transform the lives of Philadelphia residents by building and repairing homes for families in need. Their vision is a city in which all Philadelphians can live in safe, affordable homes and achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
Highlights
Vision for Future
Initially HFHP was seeking a partner to assist with the roll-out of the public phase of their campaign. After receiving a surprise gift from MacKenzie Scott, and meeting our goal for the campaign, we provided additional post-campaign planning to HFHP.
Elevating Donor Capacity
HFHP’s initial objective was to raise $5M through the “We Build Together Campaign.” The goal was to elevate their capacity to deliver innovative solutions for Philadelphians to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Ensuring Sustainability
S&W developed a comprehensive plan for the public roll-out of the campaign. In addition, our team provided a full development assessment which included analysis/modeling and staffing recommendations for sustaining and building fundraising post-campaign.
The Challenge
The “We Build Together Campaign” was ready for the public launch with an event and a direct mail campaign, however; the CDO did not have the bandwidth to fully develop a comprehensive plan. When the Campaign received a windfall gift, S&W needed to help HFHP refocus fundraising efforts and reevaluate the staffing model.
The Solution
S&W provided the accountability and structure for the Director of Development to see the campaign to the finish line ($5.2M raised of the $5M goal was realized six months early). Additionally, we recommended other services, including Direct Response for a tailored sustainer approach as well as Data Analytics for optimizing the use of SalesForce. Ultimately, S&W’s modeling and donor search reports and strategies brought HFHP’s team into a new era of gift processing procedures and provided a staffing plan to sustain the campaign success.
