Overview 

Helen is a mission-driven fundraiser with over 25 years of experience in fundraising, business development, and arts administration. Her work has covered various nonprofit sectors, including social services, environmental organizations, independent schools, and arts and culture institutions.

She has helped organizations surpass their fundraising and programmatic goals by implementing strategic plans and metrics-driven programs focused on major gifts, annual fund, endowments, capital campaigns and government funding.

Helen has engaged in business development, forging collaborations with family offices and high net worth individuals to establish platforms that facilitate knowledge-sharing and foster business opportunities. Additionally, as the North American representative for Samsung Entertainment, she established partnerships with nonprofit organizations across the United States on behalf of the international corporation.

 

Prior Experience 

Prior to joining S&W, Helen held the position of Director of Institutional Advancement at the Academy of Vocal Arts, where her leadership resulted in unprecedented growth in overall giving. She has also made contributions to capital campaign and development efforts, as Major Gifts Officer at Germantown Friends School and at Tucson Audubon Society, one of the most active societies in the country.

Helen is a former cellist whose understanding of the arts landscape is further complemented by her experience in arts administration at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
